My First Blog Post

Be yourself; Everyone else is already taken.

— Oscar Wilde.

About me

Be yourself. Thats the simplest yet most complex advice anyone could ever give me. At any other given moment of my life BEFORE being myself meant something. Now, AFTER its lost in translation. Half of the time, in the present I have no idea who I even am. I can remember who I was.

I was a sister, an aunt, a daughter, granddaughter, godmother. I was a furmom and girlfriend who never was going to see a ring grace her finger again. But I was fine with that. I worked hard. I slayed at my job. I was a Hospice CNA and I was damn good at it.

But then Feb 8th happened. The day was a blur. I drove to a patients house right after an ice storm. She lived an hour away and I was convinced that even my most stable of patients needed me. Even though that day wasnt the case. I slipped on ice in my patients driveway, fell and hit my head; got back up, slipped and did it all over again. Hitting my head not just once but twice.

At that time, any normal person would have thrown in the towel. But if I am anything its stubborn. I remember nothing of that time frame. Its all a huge blur; but according to the patients daughter I brushed it off like nothing happened and went in like a trooper and still saw my patient. It was toward the end of the hour visit when hell came to visit me on earth; starting the never ending barrage into my life that even now; 8 months later, I cannot seem to shake free of.

M stated that my speech was weird. I wasnt saying words correctly…if they were even words at all. But I assured her I was fine and left to see my next patient. My next patient was a clinic 45 minutes away from the patients home that I had been at.

I drove there, losing consciousness multiple times while driving; with my mother on speaker. She said I told her I had hit my head and that I felt weird and that there would be moments of silence where nothing could be heard but the gentle hum of the cars engine in the background. I drove 45 minutes to a clinic…with no recollection of doing so, no recollection of how I stayed on the road whilst blacking out.

The clinic triaged me, called my mother who told them to transport me to our local ED. The ED Dr ordered the standard tests. CT scan was done. Came back normal. She asked what hurt. Obviously it was my head. But I couldnt track with my right eye. It felt delayed. A problem I still have now, almost 3/4ths of the way through the year. I remember crying because I couldnt remember the names of the patients I needed to see for the day. The ED Dr dismissed concerns, said I just had a concussion and that I would be fine to return to work on Monday after recovering over the weekend.

Its been a rather extended 8 month long weekend.

Who I am now is no where close to who I used to be. Now…its 27 to Life of migraines, memory loss, muscle twitches, neck pain and a slew of other diagnoses. No time frame for a “cure”, no time line to get better. Be patient they say. Nothing lasts forever. Which in a normal reality thats true, but I dont live a normal reality.

I live in the reality of where I decided to chronicle my life. My adventures, my accomplishments and my failures; just so I dont forget them later. So 27 to life and whatever is in between may just last the rest of my natural forever.

Thats a story just waiting to be told.

Im Opal. Im 27. I have PCS. and this is my story. (Imagine reading this in the tone that is on Law and Order, it makes things a little more interesting!)

Introducing PCS

Post-concussion syndrome is a complex disorder in which various symptoms — such as headaches and dizziness — last for weeks and sometimes months after the injury that caused the concussion.

This is a newly developed diagnoses. Going on about month 3 of it. I had to learn probably like you are now reading this, what PCS entailed. I went 5 months or so assuming I had the longest concussion in the entire dang world.

Mayo Clinic states the following about PCS:

Post-concussion symptoms include:

  • Headaches- check times like 5000 and to infinity and beyond
  • Dizziness- except mine is more like a swooshing moment almost as if I am on a boat
  • Fatigue- I cant sleep enough; but mostly because I have trouble actually sleeping to begin with
  • Irritability- Im definitely not getting another engagement ring any time this century
  • Anxiety- pre established before I hit my head but is about 100x worse.
  • Insomnia- right on they money arent you Mayo Clinic
  • Loss of concentration and memory- my boyfriend is lucky if he gets edible dinner on the days I do cook or clean clothes. I forget to take food out of the oven and very often forget to switch laundry.
  • Ringing in the ears- thankfully this hasnt happened. I dont like to answer my phone when it rings let alone my ears.
  • Blurry vision- mostly in my right eye. (Neuroptometry here I come!)
  • Noise and light sensitivity- all day every day. Which sucks when half your family is deaf and the other half talks loud because they grew up having to talk over our grandparents television.

If you asked me to diagnose myself I would just tell you I was crazy. That I scrambled my brain to hard and it was taking a little too long to find all the pieces. Little did I know my own diagnoses was the NOT so technical term of PCS.

Mayo Clinic states that ” Some experts believe post-concussion symptoms are caused by structural damage to the brain or disruption of the messaging system within the nerves, caused by the impact that caused the concussion.

Others believe post-concussion symptoms are related to psychological factors, especially since the most common symptoms — headache, dizziness and sleep problems — are similar to those often experienced by people diagnosed with depression, anxiety or post-traumatic stress disorder.”

Either way I officially have been diagnosed with PCS no matter which way I got it. Its there and its snuggled in for the winter.

The last time that I wrote I was doing the 75 Hard challenge and I was on my way to vacation. Vacation was a blast. My plan was to update daily while I was there but we had the worlds worst wifi while at out at the cabin. So that didnt happen. And then I purposefully failed 75 Hard so I could eat what everyone else was eating. Not a good idea considering I gained the 10 pounds that I lost back in the matter of a week. But thats ok. Once we got back from vacation I decided to take a few weeks off, just go with the flow and see where I went before I started 75 Hard up again for the 3rd time. I made it down to 205.8 at the lowest.

HOPEFULLY, I will be ready and all set up to start my 3rd round this coming Monday or the next. i want to plan it correctly this time because I really want to finish all 75 Days. I will spend the weekend planning my exercises out, when to drink my water, and my food as I already eat low Sodium I want to pick another diet to clean it up a little.

The whole purpose for me is to become a better version of myself. I want to be not just in good shape physically but in amazing shape mentally. I have already have come off of one medication that treated a mood disorder and Im doing great, my goal is to come off my depression and anxiety medication as well. Im hoping that 75 Hard will allow me to do so.

Thats my update for now! See you all soon!

Girl, You Are A Badass

Story pin image

I have no idea what is wrong with me. Im not waking up at 515 to do my morning workout. Im so exhausted and groggy that I just dont want to get up to do it. Today was another day that I just ignored my alarm and slept in until 630. I really dont like doing my exercise at night because its still humid and hot, but I give myself no choice.

I did my indoor exercise already and D even joined in, we did the happy baby pose or Ananda Balasana alot more than I care to admit haha. Exercising with him is always so fun because hes so interactive like hes really trying to do yoga with me.

im starting this blog early in hopes that I will be able to finish it tonight after I get off work. I have to go get the kids ( Nana and Dalton) because vacation officially starts tomorrow night after work and we have so much that we need to do! Toight I have to get Deans medication and the kids, come home and do yoga and the last of my packing. Tomorrow no excuses I am waking up and making coffee so I can get my outside workout done, then I can do my inside workout before work; that way I dont have to worry about it before I leave for Tennessee.

I will probably update a little more today, but for now Im going to lay D down for his nap and probably take a little snooze myself. Busy day ahead of me!

**************************

Its 1110 and D had his lunch. Currently is drinking his thickened liquids, which he hates but has to have. I forgot to take my lovely water pill this morning and ended up taking it about an hour ago; so Im just waiting for the constant peeing to start. With a gallon of water I foresee today being a pee filled day. I have 3 hours or so of work today than I, like I mentioned above will go and get the kids; but I forgot that I needed to go to Walmart as well. Cant count that as a workout though since Walmart isnt outside. So I’ll still have to come home and knock out 45 minutes of yoga. Or maybe a walk with the kids if its not too late.

Ive been thinking lately about everything that Ive been doing. Ive been working albeit “quarter time”, raising D, coming home TRYING to keep the house presentable. Im lucky that I have such an amazing man in my life that helps clean when I cant. But I digress. I’m juggling being a mom without really being a mom, with a crazy work life and regular life…I feel like a badass. And then I realize that I am. I fit so much into my day. I read, I blog every day, I drink a gallon of water, I exercise 2-3 times a day, take care of D and go to work for 3-4.5 hours. Im going steady on my weight loss. Then I realize…I AM A BADASS. Not everyone can do what I do on a regular basis. Shit those who do more are SUPER BADASSES. I place credit where credit is due. Like Kudos to my SAHM cousin Brandi and to my single dad friend Jon. They are the definition of SUPER BADASSES.

But regardless, Im pretty proud of what I can accomplish in a day. Whether its fitting time in to “do me” as they say, get that “self care in” or dye my hair, deep condition it, etc. I still make time to be there for D, take him on walks with me, play with him before bed, make sure he is woken up each morning with his “good morning” song. I AM A BADASS. I make sure that I get what needs to be done done.

Speaking of….I need to go and get D away from the wipes. He likes to take them out of the container. Be back soon!

Iti 851 and I am EXHAUSTED! I just got done reading Health Living For A Lifetime outloud with my siblings. It made the 10 pages go by so much faster since I was reading it in a newscaster voice! Made it so much more interesting too!

Past the reading we did yoga. More like S and DM did it with me. S even got pictures of DM and I doing some of the poses which was epic.

The best part of my night however was when DM gave me my present. He said he worked very hard on it and it made me bawl my eyes out.

Tomorrow is vacation day so I might not be able to update but I will try!

Dont Wish For It, Work For It

I had a late start to my evening today. A co worker left a little early today so I had to close the PT room. Which wasnt a big deal but with having to close and get my meds, I didnt get home til almost 7. I ate and headed out to do my yoga at 730, which is a whole hour later than what I normally do. So its 834 now while Im jamming to Pandora and writing.

First Workout

My first workout of the day as PT. I count this as exercise because they kill me in there. Anything that hurts and makes me sweat should be considered an exercise. I did 8 minutes on the stationary bike, burned about 25 whole calories. After that I got a nice and painful Lymphatic Massage, from there I did some toe taps, traced the alphabet with my foot, foot pedals and then I ended the day with calf stretches. With the lymphatic massage excluded, I worked out for 45 minutes, with the massage I was there for an hour. I know this counteracts what 75 Hard states, some would say I am cupcaking but its exercise just like how I count walking at Walmart. Whatever works for me. I still drank my first 64 ounces and read my 10 pages.

Second Workout

Yoga was….well yoga. I was tight and tense from work and I needed tension release. So I did a 20 minute warm up, before doing a 15 minute workout

and then I stretched and elevated my feet at the end which was very much needed.

ignore the huge clump of dog fur, my chow chow is shedding

I may not be doing 75 Hard correctly, but I am still going to follow the checklist and do this for 75 days. Its hanged not just my eating habits, but my mind set even if I dont do the workouts to the T, or exercise out in the grass.

Dr’s Appointments

I had PT this morning which went very good considering they pretty much just took my ankle and put it through the grinder. From there I went directly to the primary Dr. For once it wasnt a check up for my head which was awesome. It was about the edema in my ankle. He didnt like what he saw so he put me on a water pill. Joy. A water pill tostart right before vacation. Well, maybe Ill pee off the extra weight and then some. Who knows.

Anyways, that was literally my whole day. Pretty simple and you got pictures to go with it!

Peace out girl scouts!

Faith Over Fear

Today marks the first day that I went severe part time at work. (3 hours a night) You would think that with the extra time in the morning I would have made more time to get my yoga workout in. But to be honest, I have my alarm set for 515 but I just ignore it and keep sleeping. I figure my body wouldnt want to sleep if I didnt need the sleep. So, I ended up doing some yoga and stretches in the living room with D around 7am.

My body is sore and Im hungry but I started Intermittent Fasting last night, so I cant eat until 106pm. Which is okay really because its right before work. Anyways, the main point of todays post is going to be FAITH OVER FEAR. Because let me tell you, I’m on day 11 of 75 Hard and theres a bunch of fear involved. But Ive had faith that I will make it to day 75. Im taking progress photos every 7 days and comparing them, and seeing differences really does help. (I still take the progress photo every day I just dont compare them until every 7th day)

Having the faith to do this challenge is really important to me because fear is a nagging bitch thats always in my ear. You cant make it past 24 days. Thats as far as you got last time. Eat that piece of candy. Then my brain goes why not. Whats it going to hurt. No one is going to know. Well except for me. I will know and thats the whole point. So far my faith in completing this challenge has lasted me 11 days. And I plan on making it all the way!

Its almost noon and I have to get whats left of my water in as well as read my book! So I will check in and right more tonight after I do my yoga outside (:

Yoga Time

This hurt. For some reason I was stiff as a board. The prone positions worked wonders for my neck and shoulders and even released some tension but still. All I did was work for about 3.5 hours so its insane to think that doing simple stretches there at work messed me up.

Regardless, I came home and did my yoga. I even had the best yoga partner tonight. My 15 year old chiweenie Half Pint!

May be an image of 1 person and dog

Granted he didnt want to be outside with me and he would have much rather been in bed but he was forced to stay out with me, because hes old and has almost lost all control of his bladder and just pees where ever he wants too.

75 Hard

I almost wanted to 75 Cupcake today. I almost went and got Culvers and then I remembered that there was no fast food for me on this challenge. It was what I was giving up along with pop and energy drinks. But I persevered and ate about 10 veggie hotwings instead. Michigan Apples I found out are about 130 calories per apple and MyFitnessPal is not accurate for counting all nutrients. It tried to make my sodium intake for 10 hot wings 2x the amount than what it really was. So Im going to try LoseIt to see if that is more accurate. I really need to count calories and sodium so that is all that I need a tracker for. If I cant find one then I will just continue to write it down in my little notebook and go from there.

All in all today wasnt that bad of a day. Work went by fast. Yoga was okay and the gallon of water was gone well before 5pm tonight, so Im done for the day! Tomorrow I have tons of drs appointments and D’s parents are coming over to visit. Im going to have to force myself to read while they are here so I can keep ahead of things.

Peace out girl scouts.

CTRL+ALT+DELETE

Story pin image

If you have followed me this far you know I started this blog when I had my mTBI. So today, 2.5 years later probably comes as well..not a shocker. I swear brain fog hits me everytime I need to go to Walmart. But its really just because I’m exhausted. I’m on day 10 of 75Hard. and day 2 of no muscle relaxers for my neck. That makes sleeping really damn difficult. So I woke up this morning. Let the dogs out at 6am and actually fell back asleep until 7am. Meaning I didnt do my morning yoga. Its okay because I will still do it tonight. Have you ever had a morning where you just want to control alt and delete and just start over? Thats how I felt this morning.

I got D up, fed him and changed him and we went to walmart on a mission to get three things. Windex, Mop Concentrate and Dishwasher tabs. I got into Walmart and I swear to you, I couldnt for the life of me remember what I needed to get. I seriously wandered around for 30 minutes trying to remember that I need damn dish washer tabs. By the time I got back to my car 50 minutes had passed. Totally counted it as my workout.

I havent read my 10 pages yet or done my yoga. But I am almost done with my gallon of water and Im done eating for the day. Thank goodness too, because I had a heart attack thinking I failed day 10.

May be an image of text that says 'Siri Knowledge Low sodium diet A low sodium diet is a diet that includes no more than 1,500 to 2,400 mg of sodium per day. The human minimum requirement for...'

I thought low sodium was about 1200-1800 mg of salt. At least that was the minimum range I was giving myself. Found out today that the low range MAX is 2400mg. I do not plan on going that high, but I did pop up right at about 2025 mg today. This week starting tomorrow I plan on going vegetarian seeing as Im stalling at 207.4 pounds. I want to see if I can make it past that before we go on vacation on thursday!

Anyways, going to see if I can either fit the yoga in right now or read my book. I will be back to update about the rest of my day soon!

FROM MY BOOK

I just hit an interesting chapter in my book about salt. Sea Salt and regular salt contain the same amount of sodium. To get any type of health benefits from salt in general, you have to look at the amount thats being ingested not the type of salt being ingested.

You dont want to cut salt out of your diet completely because your body still needs sodium in order to have working muscles, nerve signals and the regulation of fluids and electrolytes. But even I know that we Americans eat a shit ton more salt than we normally should.

for example, the steak I had yesterday if ordered normally with all the salt, seasoning and butter would be around 3000mg of salt! Thats 2x what a low sodium diet is! In general you control over 80% of the salt in your diet.

I am not a yogi master

I can barely flex myself into any postures that Daily Yoga asks me too, but I do try. And of late my chow chow Chase as been joining me outside in the humidity.

May be an image of Opal Lynn Abernathy and dog

Im getting a little better at stretching and such but the actual poses themselves I feel as if only a contortionist could do.

May be an image of indoor

The spinal postures are a little bit easier for me to do and it stretches out my lower back and feels AMAZE!

Well Im off to finish the last bit of my book! See ya’ll on the flip side!

Nourish to Flourish

I have gone 9 days of low salt, quality foods, fresh fruits and veggies. Im nourishing the body to flourish. Yesterday I didnt have time to update because I spent the day in the city trying to get my brothers girlfriend at O’Hare. It was my birthday present for him. On the way there my mom went to change D and we didnt have any diapers in the diaper bag when I had the day before. Long story on that one, but anyways we had to stop at the Meijer in Arlington Heights to buy diapers. When we were there I decided I was hungry af, and since I cant eat out, I ended up buying cheerio snack bars (85mg sodium) and cranberry granola (35mg granola) and eating ALL of the granola. That was like 900 calories!

I didnt end up getting home until 930pm. The Little went to bed and I hobbled my sore but outside to do my yoga. I finsihed, went to shower, and laid in bed and slept til 4am. I debated doing 4am yoga but I didnt do it. I just couldnt get myself out of bed to attempt it. D slept in until 830am and I did my first round of yoga with him in the living room after breakfast was done. I love doing yoga with him. Everytime Im in Shavasana; he climbs on top of me and gives me the best cuddles. Balasana is a different story because then he just climbs on my back like Im a jungle gym.

Today was a good day regardless of my late start. Its my younger brothers 25th birthday, so my family went out to Chili’s for lunch to celebrate his existence. I had planned my entire meal to the T before I even went in. Sirloin, asparagus and broccoli….all without seasoning, salt or butter. The waiter was awesome and wrote everything down exactly how I said it. I voiced that I could NOT have the salt and he adhered to what I asked.

May be an image of food

I came out to perfection, very bland but edible. This without the seasoning salt, butter and other salty additives, equaled out to be about 500mg of sodium which isnt that horrible considering it was from a fast food restaurant.

After Chili’s D and I went to Target where I promptly blacked out and bought everything under the sun. It was horrible. But D seemed to enjoy the ride.

May be an image of baby

When we got home I started laundry, did dishes, entertained D while reading the 10 pages of my book and finishing off my gallon of water. I literally was done with my water by 5pm and thats on cotton mouth. After D was given his bath and put down for bed, I meandered my way outside and did my yoga. I am seriously contemplating getting the Daily Yoga app. Im utilizing the same free practices over and over and dont want it to be monotonous.

Anyways, my chow chow decided to brave the humidity and stayed outside with me while I did my practices. By the time I was done I was uncomfortably hot and he was laying down.

The very last thing I did was come in and start this blog. I miss blogging but it takes so much time anymore. Im hoping that I can get back into the swing of things and my posts become more interactive. If you have made it this far with me and have gone through the beginning of this blog to now….thanks for that. I know the subject has turned and twisted many more times than we could have imagined but I feel like its in a good place right now.

Im on day 9 of 75 Hard and Im enjoying seeing my body change and pushing myself to my limits and then some. And of course I love documenting my journey. I just hope you all get something out of this.

Day 7 of 75 Hard!

I did it! I lasted a whole week, well to some they would say I failed because I considered walking at Walmart an exercise but fight me. I was fighting mental clarity that day. I counted. Regardless of what others think, I feel like I made it to day 7. Now, I weighed in at 207.4 pounds which is 7.2 pounds down from a week ago. Thats phenomenal. ‘

May be an image of one or more people, people standing and text

My progress photo gives me so much ampage its insane. Is ampage even a word, Im not sure haha.

Regardless Im so excited.

I had a rather eventful night last night that Im not going to get into, but I ended up pressing off on my alarm that wakes me up at 5am to do yoga. So I ended up doing about 11 minutes around 7am this morning and then finished off with stretches.that D felt the need to help me with.

May be an image of 1 person, child and indoor
My copycat and shadow

Work was a half day today, so I didnt have to go in until 2pm for a meeting. So I spent my morning at the store and the drs office with D.

While at work, I had a few newer patients that I needed to introduce some PT moves to and let me tell you; my method is going step by step over the moves with them, so I end up doing the stretches with them so they dont feel so overwhelmed. My body is so loosey goosey from all the stretches I have done today. Totally makes up for not doing a full 45 minute yoga session this morning.

When I got home today, I loved up on the Little and put him to sleep and headed out to do my yoga outside. I did 34 minutes of yoga and then stretched for 11 minutes. Some would say this is counter productive as yoga is almost the same as stretching. But I often stretch my neck and my legs which I dont do alot of (okay so I do the legs but not the neck) on the regular.

May be an image of one or more people, outdoors and text that says 'When the roots are deep, there are no reason to fear the wind. Oppilynn Core Strengthening 34 Min 128 Kcal Daily Yoga Oppilynn Jun 24,2021 @Daily Yoga'

After Yoga was done I laid in shavasana and had something that I rarely get anymore.

May be an image of text that says 'Relaxing Moment 00:18 Relax yourself at this moment.'

Oh! and I stayed under the limit for sodium and came up to about 1200 or so mg of sodium. However I had a calorie dense dinner and I feel like the fact that I ate alot of carbs is going to make my day 8 weight sky rocket. Guess we will see at 5am when I wake up for yoga!

Nonetheless day 7 has gone fantastic and is now over! Catch ya’ll on the flip side!

real transformation takes time

No photo description available.

This is something that really hits home. Not just spiritually but physically. I want to see that transformation and I want to see it now when that just isnt feasible. I have changed my entire eating habits down to the T, I work out sometimes three times a day, I do yoga, I go for walks….I genuinely am trying to look out for myself and Im disappointed in ways at the results that am getting. When I shouldnt be, idealistically.

I feel that I had so much water weight that the 7 pounds that I did lose so fast was just that…water weight. I only lost 4 ounces from yesterday to today and I think that was the beginning of fat loss because I got most of the water weight out. 4 ounces is disappointing but is still a loss so I have to look at it that way.

Healthy Living For A Lifetime

While reading my 10 pages today I came across a few interesting things that I wanted to put in my blog, for future references and for those reading. Did you know that there is a quick way to identify a HEALTHY carb?

Step 1: Look at the nutrition label and find dietary fiber and the carbs

Step 2: Multiply the fiber by 10

Step 3: If the number is equal to or greater than the amount of carbs then its a healthy carb.

The book says for example you have a pkg of dried nuts and fruits, it contains 16 grams of total carbs and 2 grams of fiber.

You multiply 2 grams of fiber by 10 which is 20 and also greather than the 16 grams of carbs that the mixture contains there fore making it a healthy carb!

TODAY

Today, I did just two workouts and they were both yoga and stretching related. Usually I try to aim for walking a dog or something of that sort but tonight I just got home from work to late and D is teething. So tonight and a dog walk was just not going to happen. So after D went to bed, I managed to get about 19 minutes of yoga outside finished. I did the 45 minute outside workout this morning so I only did 19 tonight, outside. I finished the final 26 minutes stretching inside.

My morning yoga is a lot more peaceful then my night time yoga is. Usually in the morning I have a sleeping kid, sleepy dogs, and chirping birds going on. At night I have hyperactive dogs, a kid that is teething and doesnt want to sleep but is exhausted, people are walking their dogs; of course making my dogs bark and then we have this momma bird that squacks everytime she comes to feed her babies. So thats a lot more of a chaotic time for me. But I finished everything on the list!

May be an image of text that says '7:221 LTE DAY6 04:36:18 REMAINING TAP ON THE RESPECTIVE CHALLENGE TO MARK IT COMPLETE FOLLOW DIET NO ALCOHOL OR CHEAT MEALS ONE OUTDOOR 45 MIN WORKOUT ONE 45 MIN WORKOUT CINDOOR OR OUTDOOR) DRINK GALLON OF WATER TAKE A PROGRESS PICTURE READ 10 PAGES PERSONAL CHALLENGES COMPLETE EDIT CHALLENGES'

So on that note, everyone…its bedtime for me. 5am comes hella early and Im still deciding on if I wanna take D for a walk or do yoga…guess I will decide when my alarm goes off!

from LAURENGLEISBURG.COM

I messed up today and hopefully I have time to rectify it. I did a 30 minute walk with the intentions of stretching for 15 minutes outside. Except now I have to do my outside workout all over again because I didnt stretch outside. I totally spaced it. So essentially with 75 Hard rules, I didnt finish my first workout.

But look at this face!

it 756 and Im ending my day with two apples and about my… hold on let me math, almost 9th water bottle. Im waterlogged but surprisingly havent peed that much. My day was super productive and the fact that I have half a day tomorrow at work makes it so much better.

I started my day off with yoga and stretching like I do MOST mornings. Tomorrow will be a different story. I did about 30 minutes of yoga and 15 mins of stretching. Alot of the stretches I do are mainly the ones focused on my PT regimen. If I remember I will upload those tomorrow.

Morning yoga used to be my thing, but now that I have D, Im exhausted when that 5am alarm goes off…Im waiting for that dreading feeling to go away and for me to actually like what I’m doing, to happen.

Past that I work in a pretty decently busy chiropractic office, and I do alot of PT work , like I mentioned before. So, Im on my feet alot. This is a breakdown of my day at work PLUS doing my morning exercises and my evening ones.

As you can tell my day starts early as hell, and I havent changed my stand hours since I started back to working. I am super proud of myself for closing all of my rings and I plan on seeing if I can do it again tomorrow.

I even got three new rewards today, which I must admit kinda amped me up.

When I got home and put D to bed like I do every night, I hooked up my chow chow Chase and took him for a walk.

My ankle protested the entire time. Its sore and it freaking hurts but Chase enjoyed the walk and this helped me closed all my rings.

I ended my day with about 4 minutes of yoga and the rest were PT stretches like I said above. Am I rambling yet?
